Shooting in Texarkana

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
For Immediate Release: Release #031711-01
At approximately 9:26 PM on March 16th, 2011 officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Richmond Rd. on a shooting.
When the officers arrived they discovered that 25 year old Rentwan Robinson of Texarkana, Texas had been shot once in the back.
Robinson had been walking west in the 700 Block of Richmond Road when a dark colored Chrysler PT Cruiser passed him, headed east bound. The vehicle turned around and returned to where the suspect was walking.
A black male with a white ball cap on, exited the vehicle and words were exchanged between them.
The suspect produced a handgun and Robinson attempted to run away. The suspect shot Robinson one time in the back then he got back into the vehicle and left headed east on Richmond Rd.
Robinson ran to a nearby house and called police.
Robinson was transported to a local medical facility with non-life threatening injuries.
