Clarksville Independent School District will dismiss all students early on Friday, December 18, 2009. Classes will dismiss at the following times:

Cheatham Middle School 12:45 p.m.

Elementary students who 12:45 p.m.
will be picked up by parents

Elementary students who ride 1:00 pm
the bus

High School 1:00 p.m.

All students will be on Christmas vacation from December 21, 2009 until Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at which time they will resume on a regular schedule.

All CISD teachers and staff will return to work on Monday, January 4, 2010 for a teacher workday.

Loughmiller declares bid for re-election

Judge Deane Loughmiller has announced he will seek re-election as judge of the Lamar County Court-at-Law.

Loughmiller has served three terms in the office, having run unopposed in 1998, 2002 and 2006.

He was unanimously appointed to the newly created court in 1997 by the Lamar County Commissioners Court.
